Example design

Field & Wire

Electrician. An example design that separates emergency call-outs from planned work, so the right jobs reach the van.

Problem

An electrical contractor is busy, and the website treats a lost power call, a rewire and an EICR as the same button. The diary fills with work they did not mean to prioritise.

What was wrong

One phone number with no context, a contact form that does not ask what the job is, and accreditation logos with no explanation of what they cover. The page is slow and the tap targets are small.

Strategy

Three paths: urgent call-out, planned installation, and certificates or reports. Each path asks a different first question. The urgent path is a phone call. The planned path can wait for a form.

Design

High contrast, large type, and a call bar that stays available on a phone. The certificate page explains what the customer receives, in plain language, rather than a list of acronyms.

Development

A lightweight site with a structured enquiry for planned work, and event tracking on which path people choose. Nothing that depends on a heavy page builder to change a phone number.

SEO

Pages for the services they want on Google, with the areas they cover stated once and clearly. Accreditation names used accurately.

Result

The example is a site that routes urgent calls and planned work differently, and gives certificates their own explanation.
